National Banana Festival 2018 was organized at Kalliyoor, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerela from 17th -21st February 2018. Dr Saakshy, Scientist KNHPI participated in National Exhibition and showcased the paper and products made from whole banana, banana waste and extracted fibre of banana.

The Institute is having MoU with the following organizations for better academic and research excellence
• Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Banasthali
• IIS University, Jaipur
• Dr B Lal Institute of Biotechnology, Jaipur
The students of these organizations can pursue PhD, M.Tech., M.Sc., B.Tech., B.Sc. research studies in the field of Applied Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Chemical Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science in KNHPI with academic registration in their respective organization.
